Fit and performance verification

DYNAMIC ear filter hearing protection systems support controlled fit and verified performance during deployment through a two-step process for size selection and acoustic verification.

Ear Gauge

The Ear Gauge is used at the point of issue to determine the correct ear tip size for each user. This fit testing for hearing protection provides a quick and standardised method for size selection, supporting correct fit from first use.

Correct sizing is required to achieve the intended level of protection and to reduce variability across users.

Acoustic Leakage Tester (ALT)

After fitting, the Acoustic Leakage Tester (ALT) is used to verify the actual performance of the hearing protection. Operated via an iOS app, it measures if any acoustic leakage occurs for the individual user.

The system uses a probe to emit and measure sound within the ear canal. By comparing emitted and returned sound, leakage is identified and quantified to determine the individual attenuation performance.

The ALT is used during rollout and onboarding at distribution points. The test is fast, automated and provides a clear pass/fail result, supporting reliable verification in operational environments.

ALT is also used as a training device on how to fit earplugs with a proper seal.
